General
RightSign Saliva Tracer – Multi-Drug saliva rapid test cassette.
This Multi-drug test from RightSign is a saliva test that is designed to quickly and effectively test for the most common drug groups: Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Ketamine, Benzodiazepines, Morphine and Cannabis (THC). The RightSign drug saliva test is intended for use by healthcare professionals as well as for use at Point Of Care locations.
This multi-drug saliva test is a Lateral flow, chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of various drugs and drug metabolites in human saliva with the following thresholds:
Test | Calibrator | Threshold value (ng/mL) |
Amphetamine (AMP) | d-Amphetamine | 50 |
Methamphetamine (MET) | d-Methamphetamines | 50 |
Cocaine (COC) | Benzoylecgonine | 20 |
Benzodiazepines (BZO) | oxazepam | 20 |
Marijuana (THC) | ^9-THC | 15 |
Ketamine (KET) | Ketamine | 30 |
Opiates / Morphine (MOP) | Morphine | 40 |
The test only provides a preliminary analytical test result. A more specific alternative chemical method should be applied to obtain a confirmed analytical result, preferably by Gas Chromatographic (tandem) mass spectrometry (GC/MS/MS) or by Liquid Chromatographic/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). Clinical consideration and professional judgment will need to be applied to any drug abuse test result and especially if the preliminary test results are positive.
Quick Guide
Allow the test cassette and other tools to reach room temperature (15 – 30°C) before testing. Instruct the donor not to put anything in his mouth for at least 10 minutes prior to performing the test. This includes food, drinks, chewing gum and tobacco products.
- Open the seal packaging, remove the test cassette from the packaging. Use the test within 1 hour after opening
- Instruct the donor to place the tongue against the palate or mandible so that saliva can be collected.
- Remove the saliva collector from the cassette and remove the protective cap
- Instruct the test subject to place the sponge between the lower jaw and the gums and gently rub back and forth between the left and right cheeks and the gums until the sponge is completely saturated with saliva. The sponge should not be sucked, bitten or chewed as it may break
- Remove the saliva collector from the donor's mouth after 30 seconds. When the saturation indicator is colored red, the collector can be placed back in the test cassette. If the indicator is not discolored, additional saliva must be collected until it turns red.
