What is keto or ketone?

When fats are burned in the body, so-called ketones are formed. The name 'keto' or 'keto diet' is therefore based on this. The liver produces ketone bodies as soon as the body burns fat instead of carbohydrates. This series of processes is called Ketosis. If the body burns fats faster, the number of ketones increases. How does the KETOSCAN mini work?

How accurate is KETOSCAN Mini?

The KETOSCAN–mini is very accurate. The ratio between the acetone concentration in the blood and the acetone concentration in the breath is 1:1. That is why the KETOSCAN can measure the acetone concentration in the blood so accurately.
During a study by the University of Vienna to determine the accuracy of the rate of body fat loss by acetone concentration, the test results showed that the body fat loss tested by the KETOSCAN-mini and the actual body fat loss (g/hour) are relatively consistent.
