Rapid test to test Ethyl Glucuronide (ETG) in urine with a concentration of 1000 ng/ml. ETG is a metabolite of ethyl alcohol that is formed after exposure to ethanol, usually through the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The ETG detection window is between 13 to 20 hours after drinking low volumes of alcohol to 80 hours after drinking high volumes of alcohol.

ETG Rapid Test – Alcohol Urine test

This Ethyl Glucuronide (ETG) urine rapid test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for detecting ETG in urine at a limit value of 1000 ng/ml. ETG is a metabolite of Ethyl alcohol that is formed in the body after exposure to alcohol, usually through the consumption of alcoholic beverages. ETG remains in the body for a longer period of time than alcohol, the detection window is between 13 to 20 hours after alcohol consumption to a maximum of 80 hours after consumption of large amounts of alcohol.

Quick Guide:

Allow the test cassette, urine sample and other tools to reach room temperature before testing

  1. Bring the test cassette to room temperature before opening the seal package.
  2. Remove the cap
  3. Dip the test strip in the direction of the arrow on the cassette into the urine sample for at least 10 to 15 seconds. Dip the test at least up to the wavy lines on the test strip, but no deeper than the arrow on the test cassette
  4. Replace the cap on the test cassette and place it on a flat surface
  5. Start the timer and wait for the colored lines to appear
  6. Read the result after 5 minutes to 10 minutes at the latest after starting the test.

Result interpretation:

Negative: 2 colored lines appear in the Control (C) box and 1 in the Test (T) box. This indicates that the Ethyl Glucuronide level falls below the detectable level of 1000 ng/ml.

* The strength of discoloration may vary, any appearance of a line should be considered a negative result

Positive: 1 colored line appears in the Control box (C), in the Test box (T) no line appears indicating that the ETG level is above the detectable level of 1000 ng/ml.

Invalid: no line appears in the Control box (C) or only a line in the Test box (T). Insufficient sample material or procedural errors are the most common reasons for an incorrectly administered test. Repeat the test procedure with a new test.

Accuracy

This ETG rapid test has an accuracy of 97% at concentrations of 50% above and 50% below the limit value.
